operate with effective Democratic Governance Structures. Autocratic
Governance Structures are relics from the past. In order to fully
release the potential in our school workers, we must act now. It is
the right thing to do. Competent humans will excel when their
spirits and energy are released from autocratic bondage. Each of us
can choose to be democratic. We must choose to live and operate in democratic, healthy, happy schools. With reasonable effort, we can
move our teachers from the status of second-class citizens to
treating and respecting them as first-class professionals. To do
less is to reject caring. As educators and learners, we care about
the quality of work life in our schools.
